Borderline was founded by partners Scott Schafer, Greg Wolfson, and Michael Peloquin to help companies, non-profits, and the government add specializations to their marketing teams. Our core focus began as a production company producing the full spectrum of videos from corporate videos to feature films. Scott Schafer wrote and produced “Fatwa” (2006) starring Lauren Holly (NCIS) and Lacey Chabert (Mean Girls) and “The Way of War” (2009) starring Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry McGuire) and Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons (Whiplash). The success of Way of War opened the door for Borderline to begin working with both corporate and start up clients as a consultant and marketing firm. It is one reason why we feel our company is ‘borderline’ many things. When people have new, out-of-the-box ideas they come to us for ideas and solutions to accomplish their vision.
Over the last decade, we have taken this paradigm and started implementing strategic digital campaigns. We also partnered with entrepreneurs to build and develop new ventures. In 2011 Borderline worked to launch Reel Potential, which uses Hollywood movie clips to engage, train, and educate present and future employees. In 2019, we began building a fantasy sports product named Gridlock that puts a new spin on fantasy sports games. We helped develop unique proprietary tools such as the InTouch Email Marketing Platform, which gives our clients a definitive marketing edge. During this time we have also produced campaigns for Volvo, National Cancer Institute, Lincoln Financial, 1776, Decisiv, and defense contractor ADS Tactical.
Being a group of entrepreneurs ourselves, we are always innovating our service offerings to how people need to work today. We have seen the shift to working remotely and have evolved to offer solutions that allow our clients to film and record remotely while managing an entirely distributed team. This allows our clients to produce high-quality content in a shorter amount of time, and within a budget that fits their ongoing marketing strategies. Our mission is to be marketing partner that lets the goal drive the strategy and content. We want our clients to implement customized marketing strategies using proven tactics that drive results.
